Social change comes from everyday people

Wells Fargo partnered with TED to bring inspiring talks from WF team members to the broader community. This first-ever TED@WellsFargo event “showcased how human empathy and problem-solving, combined with technology, can transform lives (and banking) for the better.”

Our bespoke site highlighted speakers, videos, and behind-the-scenes footage of the event, and showcased the diversity of perspectives within the organization. 

What collaboration can bring to life

In partnership with both internal and external marketing stakeholders, I led a team including a visual designer/art director and writer to look for ways to bring the event to life online, with exclusive content as well as animation and motion, leveraging the unique look and feel developed for the event. The site launched in three phases: content announcing the event, mid-event updates, and finally video launches. We paid special attention to accessibility so that there would be no barriers to consuming the inspiring talks.

TED@Wells Fargo launched in 2019, with videos launching throughout 2020. As of 2023, speakers have received millions of views, and the talks have been migrated to the TED platform for wider audience access.
